My little cousin had cancer should I shave my head?
For a teen girl looks and hair is everything as you know. It is a pretty big shock initially but you do get used to it. Going out in public for the first time or two is the big deal. Shaving your hair is a nice idea--show of support and empathy, but it might make her feel as if it is drawing even more attention to the fact that she doesn't have her hair. Maybe instead take her out for a "Makeover " and let her pick out a good quality wig and have it styled. Get her some good quality glue on eyebrows(if she needs them). That will help her look and feel more normal right away and that is a big deal for the teen girl. 13 is a tough age without having to deal with all of the cancer issues so being there to help her through it is even more important than shaving your hair in my opinion. Best wishes
