RSV recovery time and breathing?

My daughter has RSV and she was hospitalized and had a breathing tube for almost 2 weeks. We were told that it would take up to two months to recover and has been home for almost two weeks now. She was not a preemie and was in great health before. She has a cough still and is eating fine. My question is her breathing. She still has breathing retractions and still has a hard time breathing, even with the breathing treatments. She grunts a lot, but is not lethargic and her coloring is fine. Is this part of the recovery process?
