My computer crashed!!!!?

My computer crashed yesterday. It gave me the option to backup everything before I did the system recovery. I backed my files up to a flash drive but i can't open anything. I put pictures on it and what comes up are WIM files and i don't know what to do with them or how to get my pictures back. Does anybody know what to do with these files or if my pictures are even on the flash drive? They're my pictures of my daughter from when she was first born so i really am bummed about this.
