In the State of Kansas can I buy debt from a creditor and try to collect it myself?

I guess it is Judgment Recovery, I know some states you have to be a lawyer and then others you can be a indiviual. Anyone know Kansas Laws or refer me to a site on the web? I am wanting to buy judgments and have a few lined out and creditors willing to assign them over to me. Is that legal in Kansas?
