Has anyone who has endometriosis been on birth control and the pain gets worse?

I dont know for sure yet if I have endometriosis but I have had two doctors suspect it. I am hopefully going to get the diagnostic surgery in a couple of months. In the mean time, my doctor put me on continuous birth control and my pain has been worse than ever. Has anyone else had this happen to them? I told my doctor and she said to just keep taking it and it should go away. I feel like it is making my problem worse though and not helping it. I would just like to hear some other stories if you are willing to share. Thank you
