Breast area still hard after surgery?

Yes. That's the way it will be for awhile. I just had mine removed last March, and it is still hard as we speak. He is correct, and I have asked the same thing. I in fact just had my 6 month mammogram, which I'm sure you will have as well, and everything looks normal as it should look.
